“It’s not just we did on our own. We had to work in a team! Sometimes we laughed, sometimes we cried but finally we’ve past through it together. Moreover it made us stronger. It was a good opportunity that we can’t find from any class.”

We started preparing for everything in March. It was such a strange feeling that we came to school almost every day to meet each other. We had to think of what we were going to do. What concept did we want? Finally our concept was “Mighty girls”. First, everybody seemed worried if we couldn’t do it, however we had more confident after we were intensively trained by a professional Thai boxing teacher. Another important thing we had to prepare was the Thai cooking class. We separated in groups and practiced cooking. Some looked good and some didn’t seem to work, for example we wanted to cook sticky rice but finally we had rice soup instead. Anyway we didn’t give up and made it in the end. Was it worth it? I’d say that it’s not just we did on our own. We had to work in a team! Sometimes we laughed, sometimes we cried but finally we’ve past through it together. Moreover it made us stronger. It was a good opportunity that we can’t find from any class.

All I can say is “Unexpected!”

The first thing is to teach Thai language through a Thai children’s song called "rong rien kong rao na yoo" which means Our school is so pleasant. In this song, we added some action into the song to make it more enjoyable. While we prepare this, we worried if the student would think that it’s nonsense then they’ll not participate in the class but we were wrong, They really enjoyed the class.

The second  is Thai drama called “Pra apai manee” . We added Thai vocabulary during the show and let the student play game about that after the show. We can’t act like professional, so we made the drama funny. We’re so surprised that many students can memorize 10 Thai’s vocabulary in a short period of time!

Third  is Thai martial art. We didn’t prepare this class before but when they asked us to do then we must be ready to do!! We show Thai boxing and Sword-fighting in this class.

Everybody enjoyed this class and as this school is a sport college, they can do it very well.

Forth  is ICT class. We presented about Thailand through a Power Point and that made the students more interested about Thailand. We’re so proud about this.

Fifth is cooking class, we taught the students how to cook Thai food; Miang-Kumm, Lahb-Moo, Butterfly Pea Punch and Sweetened rice. Then when we finished cooking the UK students presented the food to the principal, Mr. Ray Tarleton.

From these activities made us know that many foreigners want to know about different cultures like Thailand’s. And the funny questions like… Does Thailand have Teletubbies? Is Thailand in China? Made us know that they don’t know much about Thailand and it’s our duty to make them know Thailand in our beloved way.

I LOVE YOU AND YOUR FAMILY!

In England we had to stay with a host family. Each Thai student for one family.

That means we have to spend almost 24 hours a day with our host family. Although we felt awkward at first but we could adapt to it a few days later.

We were with our host family almost all the time so it made our relationship grew stronger everyday. Not only the students that kind to us. Their parents also took care of us, too. They always asked if we were ok or not. We really appreciated their kindness a lot.

Lalala~ in London!

When we arrived in London, it didn't feel like Devon at all. There were so many cars, so many people with different nationalities, and the chaos like in Bangkok.

On the first day, we went shopping at Camden Market, which usually sells things for tourists. And after that we went to Leicester square for dinner in China Town. Of course, the first meal has to be Chinese food which is quite expensive. And at night we went to Piccadilly Circus to see the beautiful lights of night time in London.

The following day we went to St. Paul's Cathedral which is very magnificent and beautiful. It's a shame that we can't take photos, so we have to remember that beauty by looking. And again, what everyone has been looking forward to: shopping (again) at Oxford Street! Some people lost a lot of money with it. But some barely bought anything at all.

The next day, we received an unexpected task!! The teachers gave us a task to take them and the other students to a destination. By dividing into pairs and using maps as guides. Some got lost, some took the wrong tube. But in the end everyone arrived at their destination as expected and completed their task brilliantly. Everyone was very punctual. At night, we got dressed up again to go see "The Phantom of the opera" which was very impressive! ^^

What we recieved from this trip?

Our 3 weeks in England have taught us many things. Many times that things didn’t go as we thought and we had to solve it out quickly. The hardest thing is that we had to speak in English all the time even if we didn’t have such confidence and the confidence of speaking English is a reward from England.

The unforgettable friendship was grown during 3 weeks in England. Until the last day we were speechless and started to cry. However we are in the cyber world where we can keep in touch with each others and wait for them to come visit us.

….Thank you for all of the teachers and staff. It was very kind of you to give us this unforgettable memory that we’ll keep forever.
